Sustainable Practices

Sure, we recycle and compost ... green clippings and snippings, paper, cardboard, wood, metal, glass and plastic. But how many other landscape companies make their own compost tea? Or, offer “rainwater harvesting” as part of your irrigation plan? How many run solar-powered offices? Or fuel their fleet of trucks with the leftovers from potato chip cookery?

“To do green well, you gotta BE green,” says Dean DeSantis, the second-generation owner (and former Peace Corp guy with a passion for beekeeping.) "Our commitment to sustainability has become the foundation of our company. It goes beyond our commitment to natural landscaping practices and into the day-to-day operations of our business."

Time your purchases. Lumber for outdoor projects is often cheaper during winter months. Save money on trees, shrubs, perennials, soil, and mulch by buying late in the season.
